amie Lee Curtis Blasts Trump’s ‘Unhinged’ Actions After Reflecting on Princess Diana’s Example

Jamie Lee Curtis has never hesitated to speak her mind. Now, the actress has once again taken aim at Donald Trump—while also making an unexpected comparison between the former president and Princess Diana.

Curtis has been a major Hollywood figure for decades, and she has always been outspoken. But when she commented on Charlie Kirk’s death, she found herself caught in controversy.

At the time, Curtis was praised by some for showing compassion toward Kirk, despite his drastically different political stance. However, others criticized her for appearing to overlook the conservative commentator’s history of divisive rhetoric—including his rejection of transgender people, something deeply personal to Curtis, whose daughter is 29 and transgender. Curtis later clarified that her remarks had been misinterpreted.

The A Fish Called Wanda and Freaky Friday star has never shied away from political discussions. And now, she has again spoken out—this time criticizing President Donald Trump and drawing a surprising comparison to the late Princess Diana.

During an appearance on the television show This Morning, Curtis recounted how she once wrote a letter to Diana after missing a chance to meet her and her children, Prince William and Prince Harry, during their visit to the set of A Fish Called Wanda in 1988.

Jamie Lee Curtis slams Trump’s “vile” behavior

A few days later, Curtis received a response from the “People’s Princess.”

“I told her I admired her and the work she did destigmatizing issues people struggled with,” Curtis explained. “Two days later, I got a letter back from her.”

The Oscar-winning actress became emotional as she described never being able to speak with Diana in person. She called the princess “an example” of what true leadership looks like—and contrasted that with Donald Trump’s behavior.

“Look at where I live, and look at the example of the leaders—the example of the people leading my country—and the hatred they spew,” Curtis said on This Morning.

She went on to reference Trump’s recent attack on a female reporter, whom he called “piggy.” Curtis said she was stunned by what she considered “unacceptable behavior.”

“I think that unhinged moment of his abuse and vile behavior is going to be his undoing,” Curtis added.
