Thankfully, a nearby veterinarian responded promptly after being contacted by a compassionate individual who had noticed the dog. The veterinarian observed that the dog was in a dire condition, unable to stand or bear weight on her legs. Although the veterinarians were saddened by her condition, they remained hopeful.
She was given a bottle of warm puppy formula, antibiotics to prevent infection, and pain medication by the vets. She showed improvement in a few days and was able to sit by herself! This strong little girl will stay at a foster home to receive medical attention and physical therapy. We hope that she will soon be able to walk on her own. How heartwarming!
